A practical fix for an everyday problem: bird droppings were falling onto mops stored against an outside wall, so CT Building Maintenance designed and installed a simple canopy-style shelf made from flashing to protect them.
What we did
- Attended site and measured up for a canopy-style shelf.
- Collected suitable flashing (approx. 1 metre) from our yard.
- Installed the flashing to the wall using wall plugs and tek screws.
- Returned to site and installed nosing to the front edge of the flashing to finish the installation.
The result
Stored equipment is now protected from above with a neat, low-cost solution, showing that good maintenance is often about practical thinking rather than expensive products.
